What does it mean to make a commitment to poem-a-day?
It means:
- That every day for the month of April, 2011, you will attempt to write a single poem every day. You can post your poem beneath our daily prompts, post it on your own website and just put a link here, or just write it in private and never show it to anyone. Everything else is up to you.
- There is no way to fail. If you’re thinking about poetry, writing poetry, reading poetry or just getting involved here in the poetry community, you’re already succeeding.
- Please help up spread the word! Poetry is an important, over overlooked part of seeing and sharing the world — we want to get as many people involved as we can.
Here at Not Without Poetry, we’ll provide the daily prompts, the inspiration, the platform for community. What you have to do is provide the words, every day, for 30 days.

Well, ReadWritePoem did an anthology of poems by all of those who did all 30 days. But they had an organization, and I just have me. So… nothing 🙂
Although if I had more time, I would get people to donate poetry books or something and raffle them off to people who finished 30 poems. Anyone want to take that on? -hinthint-

erm, kinda been in since the first, but didn’t realize you had a “commit” page. The more times I commit, the more likely I am to attempt following through. If like last year, I may have one or two decent enough for further thought. Thank you for the prompts!
